In the vicinity of the town of Pazin, in Istria`s interior, lies town with picturesque name- Sveti Petar u Sumi. It is situated 12km from Pazin and 25km from Poreč and first beach. It is surrounded by Istria`s green, hilly landscape and wooded valleys dotted with meadows, cycling trails and marked hiking trails. Nearbly there is a horse riding center so people who love horses can enjoy in riding in nature. Not far away, it is situated town Pazin with Pazin cave, then Lim Fjord with many small bays and only 20 minutes driving there is Porec, town rich with sport, cultural and social events.
This fortified hilltop town with an Early Renaissance Benedictine monastery and Baroque edifices is a great example of a histroy laden place. Apart from its cultural heritage, Sveti Patera u Sumi offers excellent cusisine on rural estates nearby in whose taverns (konoba-local restaurants), you will be served with best Istrian home made specialities and traditional wines.
